Presided over by Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, Minister of Transportation, the ceremony for handing over and receiving the position of General Director of the Maritime Administration of Cuba (AMC) was held this morning.
During the ceremony, the work carried out by the outgoing director Miguel Pineda López during his three years in the position was recognized, based on the fulfillment of the missions assumed, and the colleague Vladimir Ruíz Díaz, who served as deputy director of the entity, was promoted to this responsibility.
In his closing remarks, the Minister of Transportation acknowledged the results achieved by the organization and called to continue consolidating the work in pursuit of the Administration's main objective, which is to guarantee maritime safety through preventive work and the cohesion of all the actors involved in this purpose.
Also present at the ceremony were Marta Orama Riveros, First Deputy Minister of Transportation, Roberto Ricardo Marrero, Deputy Minister of Transportation and President of the Ministerial Commission in charge of the process, as well as workers of the AMC and executives of the sector.
