To enter the Naval Academy the recruitments are through the Military Schools, others from the General Military Service stimulated by Order 18 of the Minister of the FAR, after spending a year in the pre-military.

AMC means Maritime Administration of Cuba and is the representation of the maritime part of the Ministry of Transportation. This entity acts as a maritime government throughout the national territory.
